How to Get Smooth Skin


1. Water
For smooth and glowing skin you must drink plenty of water. Your aim should be to drink eight to ten full glasses of water a day in order to notice a difference in your skin texture. When the body gets enough water it helps the body to flush out toxins and waste. But to enjoy the benefit of drinking water you should avoid all sugary drinks alcohol and carbonated drinks. Also try to eat fruits and vegetables that are high in water content. Along with drinking water you must also use clean water to wash your face at least twice a day.


2. Fenugreek

Fenugreek is known worldwide for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties. You can make a paste of a few teaspoons of boiled milk and fenugreek leaves. This face mask can be used on regular basis to delay fine lines and wrinkles. To prevent pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles, boil one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in a liter of water and apply it to the affected skin area. A face pack made of fenugreek leaves and turmeric is ideal for blackhead-prone skin.

3. Lemon Juice
This citrus-rich fruit contains cleansing enzymes that remove the skin of dead cells and provide the best way to enjoy clear skin. With its marvelous astringent properties, lemon is a natural cleanser and even people having oily skin can use it. To lighten dark spots and acne marks, you can use fresh squeezed lemon juice and apply it to your entire face and neck. Leave for ten minutes and the wash the area with lukewarm water. Another option is to combine lemon juice and egg white together and then heat this mixture on a slow fire for a few seconds. Allow the mixture to cool and then apply it on your face. Leave it for ten minutes and then rinse with warm water. Once done your face will become beautiful and soft.

4. Tea Tree Oil
To enjoy smooth skin you can also use tea tree oil as this oil is an effective scar and stretch mark remover. To heal a pimple quickly, apply tea tree oil with the help of a cotton swab directly onto the affected skin area every few hours, and apply vitamin E oil on the spot at night, about one hour before going to bed. As some people can be allergic to the oil, it is highly recommended to try it first on your inner wrist area before applying it on your face.

5. Tomatoes
Fresh tomato is a kind of natural skin toner. To make your skin soft and smooth, take some fresh tomatoes and mash it with the help of a grinder. Now apply this mashed tomato on your face. Leave it on for about five minutes and then wash it off with water. This can help reduce the size of your pores and if done daily, can result to a smoother, glowing skin. At the same time you can also apply tomato paste on pimples. Leave it for an hour and wash with water. This is an efficient remedy for treating pimples.

6. Papaya
Papaya contains a kind of natural enzyme known as papain which has great antibacterial and wound healing abilities. The enzyme also aids in removing dead, damaged skin. To use papaya as a skin toner, mash a few pieces of ripe papaya and use it as a facial mask. Keep it on your face for about fifteen minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Regular facial application of papaya juice helps reduce freckles or brown spots due to sunlight exposure. If you want some extra skin whitening effect, you can add a slice of lemon to the papaya mash.

7. Cucumber
Cucumber contains great hydrating, nourishing and astringent properties. They have the same pH as the skin so they help to restore the skin’s natural acid mantle. To make a face mask, mix some oats, cucumber and milk. Apply this face mask on your face and neck area and allow it to stay on your face for about twenty minutes and then rinse with warm water. Regular use of this face mask can prevent pimples, blackheads, wrinkles and dry skin. You can use cucumber as a cleanser. For this mix cucumber juice with milk and use it instead of a cleanser.

8. Honey
Honey is another natural ingredient that you can use to get smooth skin. Take raw honey and apply it on your face and neck for about ten minutes and then wash it off with cold water. This simple remedy will make your skin glow, soft and smooth. Another option is to mix egg white with honey and then apply it on the face for twenty minutes. Finally wash the area with cold water and a delicate soap to remove the offensive smell coming from the egg white. You can also make a thick paste with honey and cinnamon powder. Apply it on face and leave it for overnight. Clean with lukewarm water on the next morning.

9. Mint
The mint plant contains menthol which gives it the cooling effect. Apply fresh mint juice over the face every night to get rid of pimples. For a soothing body pack, take the paste of mint leaves and add the juice of a lemon to it. Mix it with warm water and apply all over your body. Allow it to dry on its own and then rinse the body parts with warm water. At the same time drink lemonade with crushed mint leaves to look and feel cool and to enjoy clear skin.

10. Turmeric
Turmeric is a kind of herb that has antiseptic properties and can be used in lightening blemishes and pigmentation. The herb can used to treat a multitude of skin problems. You can apply turmeric powder mixed with milk to your skin to enjoy beautiful and flawless skin. You can apply this paste on you face and neck area almost every day. You can make a paste of turmeric powder and pineapple juice to treat dark circles under your eyes. At the same time a mixture of turmeric and sandalwood paste is very effective in rejuvenating dry, parched skin.
